Sclerotherapy is a nonsurgical, safe, and effective way to treat unattractive blood vessels that have become broken and stretched out, forming red or purple patterns along the legs. These blood vessels are referred to as varicose or spider veins. Sclerotherapy works by injecting a sclerosing solution into the veins that allow blood vessels to collapse and be absorbed into the body, thus reducing their appearance. Sclerotherapy will be performed in an outpatient setting. One of our team members will inject a chemical solution into each vein that you wish to have removed. This may produce some discomfort or stinging as it enters the vein. Once complete, you will be able to leave with compression garments on the treated leg(s) and return to your normal activities. You may experience some irritation, itching, or bruising in the injection site. It will usually take multiple sessions to reach the desired outcome.
