Who Is An Ideal Candidate For Liposuction?

What to Expect
Liposuction is performed in an accredited surgical center or at a local hospital as an outpatient procedure. The surgery generally takes between 1 – 2 hours to complete, depending on how much fat is being addressed, as well as how many body parts. Liposuction can be a surgery all on its own; however, it is usually paired with other surgeries for the best cosmetic results, such as skin tightening procedures. It takes a couple of weeks for patients to recover and scarring is minimal.
Anticipated Results
If a well-balanced diet is maintained along with a healthy lifestyle, the results following liposuction surgery can last years. You can experience a tighter, more toned appearance with less bulging and fewer noticeable fat deposits. However, this is not an alternative to weight loss and not an effective procedure to address excess fat that needs to be removed.

Mastopexy with Augmentation and Abdominal Liposuction with Fat Transfer. - I initially went to see Dr. Wegener because my right breast saline implant placed in1997 had leaked. At the consultation, we decided on a lift and new saline implants under the pectoral muscle. (My original implants were on top of pecs.) Surgery went perfectly and I am well pleased with my results. Six months later, I had abdominal liposuction with fat transfer to my butt. Again - couldn't be happier with the results, especially at my advanced age of 57! But let me tell ya something people, abdominal liposuction is an EXTREMELY PAINFUL procedure in recovery. This would be my only complaint with Dr. Wegener: not enough information was provided about the pain during recovery. I still would have gone through with the procedure but I would have been better prepared at home.
I had a great experience here with Dr. Wegner getting a tummy tuck!!!!! I initially went in for liposuction but after having 3 kids, I needed a full tummy tuck because of my loose skin. I didn't have to hide my stomach at the pool party! - Labor day weekend, I went to a pool party and for the first time that I can remember, I was able to enjoy myself without trying to hide my stomach or feel self-conscious. I even saw myself in the background of picture in my bikini and was proud of the way I looked! In 2017, I had breast augmentation and liposuction. At that time, Dr. Brantley recommended a tummy tuck for optimal results, but I was not ready. Now I wonder why I waited?!? Dr. Brantley and his staff were so encouraging, friendly and helpful. Although the first week of recovery was painful, it was manageable and totally worth it. Thank you, Dr. Brantley, for giving me this new freedom and confidence.
